My career has focused on taking innovative ideas and building them into successful businesses. Over the years I've done this in telecom, air filtration, energy, and for the past ten years, food safety and quality. Prior to launching Stakland Consulting I was VP of Business Development at FoodChain ID where I helped lead the growth of the company's full range of services, including GFSI certification, laboratory testing, specialty labels (organic, non-GMO, vegan, gluten free, etc.), as well as a wide range of digital services supporting risk assessment and regulatory compliance. I worked closely with many of the world's leading food brands including Pepsi, ADM, Kellogg's, Walmart, Whole Foods and other top companies as well as scores of small and medium sized enterprises, with an emphasis on supply chain and raw materials risk management and and compliance. I conducted many highly popular free webinars on these topics and was a frequent speaker at industry events. I'm passionate about continuing to use my knowledge and years of experience to help companies of all sizes keep our global food supply safe and compliant.
When I'm not helping clients, I love traveling with my beautiful wife Maricela, birdwatching, hiking, exploring, and visiting our kids. I also enjoy playing golf and pickleball with my not-so-beautiful guy friends.
